Art
into Life, just like its name, aims to build connections
into the lives of people by celebrating and promoting the
diversity and richness of Russian cinema an culture.
It
will build cultural bridges, allowing artists to grow through
interaction with the viewing public and media and by furthering
cultural exchanges between Canadians and Russians.
The
Kino Art Festival presented by Art into Life will offer
Canadian audiences an opportunity to enjoy films that are
not in regular distribution and also introduce other aspects
of traditional and contemporary Russian culture.
Who
We Are
Art
into Life was established in 2004, bringing together people
from different backgrounds to enhance the Russian contribution
to the cultural life of Toronto – a city noted for
its appreciation of cinema and film festivals.
Kino
Art Festival Programme
The
main programme of the Festival consists of works of contemporary
film directors and producers. The Festival not only reveals
the unique talents of
independent and avant-garde cinema, it will also help to
dispel the cultural stereotypes surrounding Russians today.
